Chile: Algarrobo (San Alfonso del Mar)

What vacation would be complete without a little rest and relaxation? Seeing as it was a holiday (of the Virgin of Vasquez) we headed to San Alfonso the "long way" and still made it with plenty of time to enjoy the day (after a pitt stop in "downtown" Algarrobo for a little shopping and coffee). The afternoon was just warm enough for a little beach time, and a walk along the ocean. The next morning was a bit windy and chilly, so we spent most of it in the pyramid housing the heated pool. We had a little more sand/snack play time and it was time to head back to the big city.

Feria Internacional de Libros Guadalajara 2012

Every year Guadalajara hosts one of the largest international book fairs in Latin America. People come from across Mexico (and abroad) to see the huge selection of mostly Spanish language books. The FIL is a big event in the city and includes lots of mini classes, lectures and events. Every year there is one featured country and this year it was Chile, so we had to check it out. It was lots of fun for everyone: the bustle, the books, a little coffee, a little shopping and a lot of mayhem!
